We empower and partner with health-conscious women in their lifelong wellness journey via preventative health services and community initiatives. The space we create for women is marked by high-quality care, service, and excellence.
We believe in a proactive approach to health by establishing sustainable principles prior to major milestones and expected life cycle changes. We envision every woman having access to education, nutrition, exercise, health screenings, and community support systems in order to maximize their quality of life and prevent disease.
We acknowledge Jesus Christ as the foundation of our work and purpose.
We set a standard for consistent, exceptional, and high-quality service.
We value the importance of fellowship and outreach.
We are cultivating a replicable and sustainable health and wellness model.
The Well Woman Coalition was founded by two Black female veterans in the healthcare profession:
Khadijah Fuller is originally from Norfolk, VA. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Norfolk State University. Her extensive experience as a Registered Nurse in the U.S. Navy has allowed her to travel to many spaces and cultures over several years, domestically and internationally. Her love for women’s health developed while she was a Labor and Delivery nurse, serving women and families affiliated with the military. After separating from the U.S. Navy, Khadijah received a Master of Science in Nursing with the designation of a Certified Nurse Midwife. Khadijah now resides in Atlanta, GA, continuing to serve women and families in the community. She enjoys traveling, reading with a good cup of coffee, and spending time with family and friends.
Akalia Meadows is originally from Athens, GA. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercer University. She joined the U.S. Navy followed by the U.S. Public Health Service where she gained specialized experience in Military Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrical/Neonatal Care, Public Health, and Clinical Research. Akalia also received a Master of Science in Nursing with the designation of a Certified Clinical Nurse Educator from Jacksonville University. Her extensive healthcare experience uncovered a passion to help women on their health and wellness journey through education, empowerment, coaching, and accountability. Akalia now resides in Atlanta, GA and enjoys all things real estate, cute coffee shops, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Our motivation stems from the burden we have felt for many years working within a challenging healthcare system, living in a culture that is misled by “quick fixes,” and engaging in a community that has gotten away from real life interactions and encouragement.
